Get a car live
One card with what Cypress needs before the market, fixed in place; the price your rule works out, picked first; one confirm, live; then Launch follow-up says how the market takes it.
TL;DRAI summary
This chapter shows you how to quickly get a car listed for sale. You'll learn how to add essential details like the condition and set a minimum sale price, with Cedar helping you price it to sell.
For: Fleet managers and admins · Cypress Managers acting for a seller
Steps
Ask Cedar for one car. "Help me put the 2023 Kia Sorento on the market." The Get it live card lists Before the market, what Cypress needs to list it (the miles, the lot, the condition checked by a person, the floor), and Sells it better, recommended and never in the way (a cover photo, 8 or more photos, keys and damage, an inspection report). The tag says how many are left to fix.
Fix it right there. Open a missing line and fill it in on the card. For the floor, Cedar suggests Black Book wholesale +2% ("I suggest $24,800 (+2%). Buyers never see the floor."). For the condition, I checked it keeps your name with it in Cypress. Each save confirms on a sheet; nothing goes on the market until you say Go live.
Cedar picks the price; you make the call. Price starts on the pricing rule that lists cars like this one (Your rule "Northwind standard", Floor +7%), else on Cypress's suggestion, else on the floor +5%, with the other prices beside it. Want a different one? An admin can list at a one-off price; or tick Make this my rule for the make, and Grove writes a rule just before the one that priced it, with its conditions and the make, so no other car's price changes.
One confirm. Go live at the price you picked opens the sheet with the listing price, the floor (private: buyers never see it) and the rule. Confirm, and the card folds to "Live at $26,536".
Keep watching. The journey's playbook is Launch follow-up: two days after a car goes live, Cedar says in its thread how the market is taking it (views, saves, offers). If it is off, the last card asks Keep watching this for me?
Warned before, not after
If an automation, Cypress's own or yours, lists cars by itself when they change, the floor's hint and its confirmation name it before you save: saving may put the car on the market right away.
What Cedar learns here
If you keep choosing the same one-off markup for a make instead of your rule's, Cedar proposes it once as a rule: "Make floor +8% your rule for Toyotas". See Journeys.
