Talk with your team in Huddle
Your organization's huddle, conversations, direct messages and Inbox on a computer: Grove's Huddle inside Cypress, with Cedar and your Cypress Manager in it.
TL;DRAI summary
This chapter explains how to use Huddle, your organization's messaging tool, within Cypress. You can chat with your team, your Cypress Manager, and the Cedar AI assistant all in one place to discuss cars, deals, and more.
For: Everyone
Huddle is where your organization talks: everyone at your company, your Cypress Manager and Cedar in one huddle, conversations for a car, a deal, a team or a goal, direct messages between two people, a thread under any message, and your Inbox. In Cypress it is Grove's own Huddle, laid out for a computer: the same rooms, cards and Cedar as on your phone, live in both.
Before you start
- Open Huddle in the sidebar, under Mission Control. Its number counts what is for you: unread direct messages, your room with Cedar, and mentions, in every organization you are in.
- The first time, Cypress signs you in to Grove on its own. If your organization has not connected Grove yet, Huddle says so: an admin connects it once.
Steps
Pick a room on the left. Rooms holds your organization's huddle and your own room with Cedar. Conversations shows each conversation with the icon of what it is about (a car, a deal, a team, a goal) and a tag. Direct lists your direct messages; your Cypress Manager is always there.
Write in the box at the bottom. Type @ to mention someone (it reaches their Inbox). @Cedar asks Cedar, which answers right there, in the room. In a car's conversation, Cedar already knows the car.
Act on the cards the way you do on your phone: an offer, a closing step, Deal Setup. Every button shows what will happen first, and changes Cypress only when you confirm.
Talk turns the box into a voice bar in the same room: you speak, Cedar answers out loud, and both sides of the conversation are posted in the room.
Write to one person with + beside Direct, or open a conversation with + beside Conversations.
For Cypress Managers
Huddle opens for the organization you act for (the bar at the top of Cypress). With no organization chosen, Huddle lists your organizations with what is unread in each; Open acts for that one. A private conversation is by invitation only; when someone mentions you in a room you are not in, you are added to it.
If something goes wrong
- "Your organization has not connected Grove yet." An admin of your organization opens Grove once and connects it.
- "Sign in to Cypress again." Your sign-in ended: sign in, then open Huddle.
- Huddle says it is not set up. Conversations are not switched on for this server yet; tell your Cypress Manager.
